Real Check ("we", "us") provides an AI-content authenticity detection service across mobile apps and our API. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive a stable account identifier and, where you permit it, your name, profile image, and email address. Apple's "Hide My Email" relay addresses are stored as provided.
• Content you submit. The images, videos, audio, text, or URLs you send for analysis, plus minimal metadata (content type, file size, source URL).
• Detection results. The verdict, score, and the analysis summary generated for each submission.
• Device & push tokens. If you enable notifications, the push token issued by Apple (APNs) or Google (FCM).
• Diagnostics. Operational logs needed to run and secure the service (timestamps, error codes, coarse request data).

2. How we use your information

• To analyze your submissions and return a result.
• To maintain your submission history and account.
• To send completion notifications you opt into.
• To operate, secure, debug, and improve the service.

3. How submitted content is handled

We minimize how long we keep your media. When a detection completes successfully, the original media is deleted immediately — only a low-resolution thumbnail (for images and video) and the detection result are retained. If a detection fails, the original is retained for a limited window (up to 30 days) so we can diagnose the failure, then automatically purged. Text submissions are stored only with the submission record.

4. Third-party services

We share the minimum necessary with the providers that power the service:

• Hive Moderation — performs the AI-content analysis; receives the content (or a temporary URL to it) for that purpose.
• Google & Apple — sign-in identity verification.
• Apple Push Notification service / Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivery of notifications you enable.
• Hosting & infrastructure providers — store and process data on our behalf.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data retention

Account data is kept while your account is active. Submission records are kept for your history until you delete them or your account. Original media follows the retention rules in Section 3.

6. Your rights & choices

• Access & deletion. You can delete individual submissions, and you can delete your entire account from within the app. Account deletion permanently removes your profile, sign-in identities, sessions, devices, submissions, thumbnails, and any residual media.
• Notifications. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings.

7. Children

Real Check is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
